Donald Herman is a registered portfolio manager and manages portfolios and client relationships for the Institutional and Private Wealth lines of business in Canada and the United States. He is primary responsible for the management and servicing of Indigenous peoples nationally with an additional focus on institutional corporate and large foundation accounts.
Prior to joining Jarislowsky Fraser in 2003, Don worked for eight years with Deutsche Bank Securities in London and Toronto, Canada in their Fixed Income Origination group. He also spent five years with the Province of Alberta’s Investment Management Division (now AIMCO) managing public and private investments for the Province’s Heritage Trust Fund and other investment accounts.
Don serves on several not-for-profit boards including the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, the Centre Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at the University of Alberta and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra where he is also the Chair of their Cork and Canvass Gala. He is also Past President of The Ranchmen’s Club in Calgary and of the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation of Canada.
Don earned a B.Comm. From University of Alberta – School of Business, a MBA from Queen’s University and is a CFA Charterholder.
