Erin O’Brien joined Jarislowsky Fraser in 1987 and is a registered portfolio manager focusing on private client and foundation accounts.
She was previously a member of the Executive Committee, responsible for the firm’s administration and operations as well as compliance. Ms. O’Brien has been involved in all aspects of the firm during her tenure, which started when Stephen Jarislowsky brought her in to help him with the firm’s administration and accounting. She was named a Partner in 1994 and, in 2003, she became CFO and Chief Compliance Officer. In 2012, her role was extended to Head of Operations and Executive Committee Member. She was also a director of the Board from 2012 to 2016.
Ms. O’Brien sits on various boards including the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation, the Canadian Guild of Crafts and the Canadian Irish Studies Foundation. She was a director of a small public company until it was taken private in 2015.
