Walter Viguiliouk joined the Toronto office in 2010, is a registered associate portfolio manager, and is currently focused on relationship management and business development for institutional markets as well as ESG research. He also works closely with the members of the Sustainable Investment Committee on developing and supporting firm-wide ESG initiatives. His first role at the firm was assisting to service institutional and high net worth private clients. In 2014, he moved over to the equity investment team as a research associate, where he worked closely with the US portfolio manager and the global analyst team on fundamental research activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Walter worked as an investment analyst at the office of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) in Toronto, where he was responsible for developing proprietary models assessing investor risk profiles and portfolio suitability.
Walter maintains an active role in the community and currently serves on several not-for-profit boards and committees, and is a guest lecturer for the Ethics for Investment Managers course at York University in Toronto. He is also part of the First Cohort globally to earn the SASB Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential, and he also completed corporate governance training at the Institute for Governance of Private and Public Organizations (IGOPP) in Montreal.
